Get ready for some very special music!

The Lake Junaluska Singers will perform at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 515 S. McDuffie Street in Anderson, on Sunday evening, June 12th, at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Singers, directed byDr. Melodie Galloway, serve as musical ambassadors for the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church and travel nationally and internationally. This 16-voice ensemble presents concerts throughout the year at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center (NC), along with performance tours. Concerts include classical, choral music, spirituals, comedy, and musical theatre. Bringing hope to the world through inspiring music is the primary focus of the Singers' ministry.

Dr. Bob Heritage, Director of Music at St. John’s, has said, “This is an exciting opportunity to hear the famous Lake Junaluska Singers in concert here at St. John’s United Methodist Church. This wonderful group of young singers, under the direction of Dr. Melodie Galloway, certainly needs no introduction to United Methodist congregations throughout the southeast. They have been enriching the lives of countless thousands through their music for the past 57 years. We certainly hope members of congregations throughout our area can plan to attend this thrilling program.”

The concert is free and open to the public. However, a love offering will be taken to help offset the costs of this unique ministry.
